Compilation Albums
The goal of our compilations are to help boost your career. We strategically send copies to radio stations, other labels, and clubs that may be interested in the music featured on the comp. We also sell the comp to the public to pay for it's creation. We plan on releasing a compilation in nearly every style of music featuring the best artists in the Bay Area (and sometimes beyond the Bay).
We do not require you to pay to be on our compilations. We do not pay you for providing tracks to our compilation, but we will give you 10 copies as compensation. We do this to keep the cost of the album down, thus giving you more exposure. Our comps are never priced over $5 on baymusicscene.com.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years of age or receive signed permission from your parent/legal guardian
- Submission must be 100% original work, no "sampling".
- Artists/Bands under contract with a record label will not be accepted.
- You must be able to provide an uncompressed, clean (no clicks or pops) copy of your song on CD.
- Your group must be from or reside in or near the S.F. Bay Area OR your band must be from the west coast & include the Bay Area in your tour stops. (Bay Area artists receive precedence on our compilations).
Artist Rights
Artists will retain their songs/music/lyrics, our agreement is non-exclusive.
What you'll get...
- 10 free copies, postage paid.
- We will send copies to radio stations, clubs, and other record labels that may be interested in the artists on the compilation.
- We will sell the compilation for $5 on our website..
- Your website will be included on the compilation.
- A short bio will be made available on baymusicscene.com to help promote your group.
Compilation will be distributed in stores, through internet retailers, and digitally. Prices may vary at different locations.
